Gun in Etna shooting was from Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD - A gun allegedly used in a shooting in the town of Etna, in Penobscot County, Monday night, was reportedly stolen from Somerset County, police said Tuesday.
Lt. Carl Gottardi of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department said the gun had been stolen from someone in Pittsfield.
Troy Morton, chief deputy with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department, said two people were shot at about 11:20 p.m. Monday. The shooting took place on the Dalmatian Road.
The victims were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor where they were treated and released with non-life-threatening wounds, Morton said.
The incident remains under investigation. State police assisted at the scene.
Morton would not name the victims Tuesday, nor would he identify a suspect.
